The collection ‘Akarui Yori Akarui’ is the result of the first collaboration of Anna Dart with AI algorithms. The title in Japanese is inspired by John Keats's Letter to Fanny Brawne, 1 July 1819, and particularly the line “I want the brighter word than bright“. ‘Akarui Yori Akarui’ demonstrates the Anna´s interest in the sublime power of light, its perfection and evocative effects. The light can transport us to various emotional states of calm, joy, drama, and wonder and make us more receptive, empathetic, and humane. Anna believes that emotions will be the defining factor in keeping the balance in the new era of phygital.

The light in these works is produced by AI, a new medium for Anna. She says: “Artificial Intelligence, my new generation watercolor, as unpredictable as it is mysterious, is here to meet our universal craving of experiencing the sublime.” Although it is not clear yet if paintings made by AI will replace human creativity, Anna stays positive: “We might envy the AI because it will outlive us, just like the stars above us, but we should not envy its isolation and lack of human warmth.”

‘Akarui Yori Akarui’ was released on Objkt.com on Tezos blockchain in July 2022. The launch was followed by the first AI art show of Anna Dart in the Museum of Digital Identities (MID in Voxels) curated by Pedro Guez from the digital fashion house The Fabricant, and the first open-air AI Art exhibition in Brussels, Belgium curated by Art Crush Project (August 2022).
