In 2013, the world is experiencing a new era with the rise of social media and internet communication. Anna Dart, as an artist, understood the impact that this new form of technology would have on society and how it would shape our relationships and interactions with one another. She was worried that the reliance on technology would lead to a distance between individuals and a loss of empathy, making people less human.

This concern inspired Anna to create her exhibition “El Silencio” which reflects on the power of communication and how it can be achieved with just one color, black, and the power of silence. Through her work, Anna explores the concept of digital humanism, examining the intersection of technology and human values, and the importance of genuine human connections in a digital world. In a world where we are constantly bombarded with noise and stimuli, "El Silencio" serves as a reminder of the beauty and power that can be found in stillness and authentic human connection. Through her use of black watercolor and emotive portraits, Anna invites us to look inward and reflect on the things that truly matter in our lives.

The exhibition “El Silencio” celebrates a huge success as multiple pieces by Anna Dart are sold, further emphasizing the impact of artist's message on the audience.
